China's automotive exports are on course to exceed 10 million vehicles in 2026, according to the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, state media reported on November 1. New energy vehicles have accounted for more than half of monthly exports since June, as automakers accelerate overseas plants, sales channels and service networks beyond simple vehicle shipments.
The export boom is pulling Chinese-brand cabin and exterior lighting content into new markets, from ambient-lit cockpits to illuminated grilles and welcome sequences that have become signature features of NEV models.
