Bentley's Mulliner personalization division has introduced the automotive industry's first personalised animated welcome lamp, projecting a curated visual signature onto the ground whenever a door opens. Rather than a static logo, the system plays a seamless animation of up to 11 seconds that loops while the door remains open, building on technology first shown on the Bentley Batur.

At its core is digital light processing built on an 8 mm squared DMD chip containing 415,800 microscopic mirrors, each just 16 microns wide, with three colored light sources merged through a lens and prism system. Customers can commission animations tied to their car's design theme. RINA TECHNOLOGY's door welcome light lineup follows the same direction, using projection optics to turn everyday entry moments into brand experiences.
