Mercedes-Benz has unveiled the mid-cycle refresh of the C-Class sedan, described by the automaker as the most significant technical upgrade in the model’s 44-year history. For the first time, the C-Class gains an illuminated radiator grille previously reserved for the S-Class, alongside star-shaped taillight graphics and upgraded Digital Light headlamps with Micro LED technology on high-tier trims, according to LEDinside coverage on August 27, 2026.

The illuminated grille turns the front end into a branding and styling surface, while Micro LED pixels enable adaptive high beams, glare-free driving and precise symbol projection. Compared with conventional LED headlamps, the Micro LED units deliver higher resolution and finer beam control.
