Yiguang Technology in Gu'an County, Hebei, has achieved volume production of automotive-grade OLED tail light sources, becoming the world's third and China's first manufacturer with this capability, according to a September 2026 local government report. The company spent roughly a decade and more than RMB 100 million solving heat-resistance and radiation challenges, and its red OLED tail lamps now hold over 30% of China's OLED vehicle lamp market.

OLED surface sources offer thin, bendable panels with zone control and soft, glare-free emission, making them a core direction for premium rear lighting. Yiguang's red OLED tail lamps entered volume production on Xpeng models in 2017 and debuted on the Hongqi H9 in 2020, the first Chinese premium car with OLED tails.
