Shenzhen-based Sitan Technology has won orders and a large annual demand forecast from an international top-tier automotive customer, jointly defining next-generation automotive Micro LED standards, according to industry media. Its Sicheng second-generation white-light modules deliver 25,000 to 110,000 pixels for near-ground welcome projection, and the customer has released a demand forecast of hundreds of thousands of units per year, with cooperation extending into digital headlamp applications.
Sitan co-developed a vehicle-grade CMOS backplane that achieved first-tapeout success, using active-matrix control to enable adaptive driving beam, curve lighting, and road-sign projection functions. The company is pursuing IATF 16949 and AEC-Q102 certification, expected in 2026-2027, which would make it the first Chinese supplier to clear these barriers in near-ground projection. RINA TECHNOLOGY monitors Micro LED welcome-projection advances as it refines its own door welcome light and ambient lighting product lines.
