Germany's daytime running lights market is set for steady growth through 2034, according to a new report from IGTPS. LED technology held the largest share in 2025, underpinned by premium-vehicle adoption, energy efficiency and distinctive front-end light signatures, while passenger cars led by vehicle type and OEM sales dominated thanks to EU approval requirements that make DRLs mandatory equipment on new vehicles.
The aftermarket channel is projected to grow fastest as drivers upgrade older vehicles with modern LED modules, and rear lighting functions are consolidating into unified architectures combining position, braking and indicator roles. Baden-Wurttemberg leads regional demand on its dense supplier network, with Bavaria forecast as the fastest-growing state. RINA TECHNOLOGY follows European DRL and styling trends as it develops grille lighting and LED accent products for export brands.
