FORVIA HELLA unveiled an adaptive interior lighting concept for commercial vehicles at IAA Transportation 2026, combining comfort, visual communication and safety functions in a seamlessly integrated surface. Intelligent RGB LED arrays deliver homogeneous illumination, dynamic light animations and full-colour personalisation, while also conveying information such as distance warnings, battery charge status, incoming calls and assistance-system status, along with welcome and farewell sequences.
The concept lets colour, intensity and lighting dynamics act as an additional visual communication channel that complements displays and acoustic signals, guiding driver attention while a dimmable ambience supports rest phases and night driving. Modular RGB modules allow the same technology to scale across cabin architectures and vehicle programs; a major European commercial vehicle manufacturer is already developing with the technology. As truck cabins evolve into sophisticated working and living environments, lighting becomes part of the interior design and brand identity. RINA TECHNOLOGY tracks this direction with multi-zone RGBIC LED ambient strip systems engineered for OEM partnerships and aftermarket cabin upgrades.
